The whole Lana Del Rey controversy has gotten even more annoying since she appeared on SNL. First of maybe she wasn't as great, but you shouldn't base you opinions of some one on just once experience. I think people should get over her and her lips and let the music speak for itself. People shouldn't care where the music comes from. At the end of the day what matters is the music itself. It's something I've come to realize the older I get. Still I can be a music snob, so sometimes this can be contradictory, but I try not to be.

Random Ranting: Back to England (sort of, in my head)

I've stopped reading Extremely Loud, and Incredibly Close. I was more than halfway through. It's not that it's bad. It's very good/sad/cute actually, but I found myself missing all that complicated English literature I'm so used to. I've been reading too many modern American novels, and that gets boring after a while. It's made me realiz that English literature will always be my favorite. I actually like not being able to understand some parts because the language is too complicated. It helps me understand, all the while I'm learning unconsciously. It's fun. It's like learning a new language sort of, not really, just learning new words and ideas. I'm weird.

I missed England, so I went back to Charles Dickens. It's a love/hate relationship with me and Dickens.

I'm re-reading Oliver Twist. Last time I read that was in sophomore year. I remember staying up till five in the morning on a Sunday, sometime during the Winter Holidays. I remember being worrying that my mom would worry about me staying up late. Good times. I miss my mom, and I missed Vitorian England. I think Oliver Twist will make me feel better.

Oh btw I can sort of drive now.

I think I'm going to read this one only when I am alone.
I think it'll be one of those books that is followed by depression, like The Virgin Suicides, so watch out because I might delete my facebook.

Maybe I was depressed during winter break because I read of Mice and Men, nah it was probably the fact that I hadn't seen nano in weeks and I missed my mom, it's during those times when you really notice how my mom was like a magnet. When she was around everyone always made an effort to spend the holidays and birthdays together, but now everyone goes their own way. On my birthday I am like a stray cat being taken in by different families, it might sound nice, but it isn't. All you really want is your family, they don't ask questions. Now I want to be alone , I hate my birthday so much because I hate being the center of attention, and I hate being asked all these questions I don't want to answer.

Maybe I was depressed to summer vacation because I read Franny and Zooey, and The Picture of Dorian Gray. The characters are stuck, in a way, and I felt that too, I even had a nervous breakdown, I even prayed for God to take away my feelings of being stuck, I asked him to guide me, to show me the way to a fulfilling life. I still haven't been "enlightened," but maybe soon, you have to make things work too, and put some effort into it, but I don't want to. Life isn't about magic tricks, if you ask for something it's not going to appear instantly. It takes time. I'm pretty sure that it wasn't depression though, I had a lot of chocolate that day, and maybe I was just crashing.

I'm not feeling depressed though, I'm just reminiscing. Fun times. I'm being serious. There's something fun about moping around all day, I mean I hate it so much when I do, but then once I'm all better all I want to do is go back.

Oh summertime, how I miss you, your weather may suck, but you provide me with so much time to think and bring myself down.

I don't think I'll ever be satisfied. I think I'll always be "stuck." Oh dear.

I'm crazy.

If I were a boy I'd be awesome at football so I could get into whatever school I wanted to, and then I'd become super popular, and everyone would love me, and I'd get all the hot girls, and I wouldn't have to study so much, because the school would love me so much for my awesome skillz, plus I'd be too busy being super awesome at football. yes. Plus, I would be tall.

Not true, I'd probably be like a skater or something, even though I greatly dislike kidz on skateboardz. Or I'd be in a band. I'd be the bass player.

Sorry for the z's. I should be manufacturing z's, but unfortunately I procrastinate way too much. Listening to Robyn and writing this.

I love Alexander Perchov. He's the best ficitonal character ever, for reals. If I were a boy I'd be him. Think I want to buy Gogol Bordello's album, not really. Eugen Hutz is exactly what I imagined Alexander Perchov to look and sound like. Now I'm listening to Kylie. Gonna read Everything is Illuminated again. so good. Been reading too much Hipster Runoff. I should stop so I could manufacture z's ASAP.

Today when I got home from the doctor I was watching Bored to Death, and this girl, who happened to be high via smoking a joint, said something, and I thought "that sounds like something I would say". Oh no. lol.

Another story.
This one time when I was taking a nap, U-2 came on my ipod, and I jumped out of bed, I couldn't go back to sleep. Yes, that is a scary song.

Pain

So today I had another "mini-surgery," as my sister calls it. For some reason, I am in much more pain this time around. Gah seriously I could stab someone that's how much pain I'm in, can't wait till eight so I can take more pills, because the pain's starting to come back. grrr. The pain was so bad I could not even watch Lost, I love Lost, and this was episode one of season two.Which means: Desmond! :( Dang doctor didn't give me enough anesthesia today.

Okay so onto other more important things. The new Cheryl Cole single premiered today. I stayed up till one in the morning just so I could hear it. It was so worth it though, "Promise This" is brilliant. All day long I've had the french bit stuck in my head. "Alouette outte outte d'eployer l'aile" over and over. Wish I had my ipod.

It hurts! So yeah here's some Hurts.

Tear Tear. I love it how their music is so emotional it's funny kind of.

Last night I had a dream about Sherlock Holmes, well it wasn't really about him, he was just in it, and it was awesome.

So this burglar/murderer breaks in my house and I'm really scared and so Sherlock Holmes comes and I feel relieved. Then Sherlock abandons me, and I'm left all on my own with this criminal, so I push the police button on my alarm thing, and the police come. The end.

It doesn't seem so exciting, but when it was happening it was so cool. Trust me I was there.
I know that Sherlock's cooler than that though, he would have actually helped me instead of running away or whatever.

Oh by the way I saw the Sherlock thingy the BBC did with Benedict Cumberbatch (what an incredible name really!) and Martin Freeman (Aurthur Dent and Jim in the original The Office, except his character's name is Tim). (This is probably why I had that dream.) I really liked it. There was a lot more talking and a lot less action than the Hollywood version. I liked this pair better too, even though the Hollywood pair is a lot better to look at. Plus it's produced by Steven Moffat, producer and writer of Doctor Who. Most of my favorite Who episodes are written by him, I've noticed so that helps.

Random Ranting: Summer Reading

I've been reading a lot of depressing books, with depressed/bitter characters.I think that's the reason why I've been so depressed recently. I've also been reading a lot of English romances from the 17 and 18oos. They've made me quite bitter.

Here's a list of all the books I've read since I got out of summer vacation.

And I'm making my way through Seymour: An Introduction. I already read Raise High the Roof Beam Carpenters. I've really liked all of the books I've read, well the first half of The Picture of Dorian Gray is boring, but then it gets interesting till you know who gets killed, even though he was my favorite character. And I hated ALL the characters in Wuthering Heights, except Hareton and Mr. Linton, and I felt impartial towards Cathy Jr. and the narrators. I've still got to read Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, and The Mysteries of Udolpho. Oh and David Copperfield, but I'm probably never gonna finish that one, maybe I'll finish it next since I'm not in the mood for romances. blahhhhh It's so hard picking a favorite out of the ones I really liked. Although I can tell you which is my favorite of the Nine Stories. It's "Just Before the War with the Eskimos." There's a lot of blood in that one. jk...not really. I realized today that I quite like the look of blood, it's nice. I'm not repulsed by it. I should be a doctor. I'd suck though, I'd kill everyone, even the ones who come to me with a cold. As much as I'd like to, it's best if I stay away from that profession, plus I'd have to deal with people. I'm no good with people.

Ok I think I can choose a favorite now. The Catcher in the Rye. I don't think I was bored by that one, not once. I really enjoyed it. I understand why Holden thinks everything is phony. I say "I don't approve," he say "phony." I almost chose The Virgin Suicides, that one was great, probably the most beautiful book I have ever read, the movie is my favorite (in a tie with Ratatouille). And it's about obsessions, and I'm pretty obsessive. Actually I became obsessed, with the story, i'd rather not day how, I'm am less than an amateur at being inspired. The day I finished reading that one I became very depressed for some reason. Then there's Everything is Illuminated. Now let me say that Alexander Perchov is the most premium character EVER and "Jon-fen" Safran Foer is a first-rate writer. Premium. I LOVED Everything is Illuminated, the first three chapters where boring though, because I didn't really understand the format in which it was written, so I didn't know what was going on. Then I realized, and how genius the format is. I don't think the first three chapters will be boring if I choose to re-read it, which I will. There were some parts that were a bit explicit, but hey this is the 21st century, and I'm 17, so I think old enough to read this book, I've seen worse than what I read. (I've actually put down The Shining and Breaking Dawn, because I think they're too much, but I was younger then, and those books aren't as great as Everything is Illuminated, there's a point to Everything is Illuminated, and it's actually worth your time and money, I'm glad I didn't read it when I first heard of it though, I probably wouldn't have been old enough to understand, but you never know I was a pretty cool little kid I listened to Sigur Ros and Blonde Redhead.) ok enough of my blabbing I'll rank the rest. I think the first three spots will be constantly changing.

I love it how she dances in the video, especially in the one with the red dress, I'll embed it. I did like the ending though, everyone dies, and Hareton Earnshaw learns how to read yay!)

Isn't it great? She's got moves. And she's so expressive it's just great! I'm being serious. Really.

P.S. I wish I were a member of the Glass family (I want that last name!), by blood or marriage, I don't care which way. If only they were real. sigh.

P.P.S. Film is a bit closer to reality (not really). The Tenebaums are a lot like the Glass family, but their last name isn't Glass! oh well. I like dysfucntional families, they're usually interesting when depicted in film and literature. If only my dysfunctional family were half as interesting as the Glass family or the Tenebaums, but no.

Oh and J.D. Salinger is my favorite writer at the moment. Maybe he always will be, but I need to investigate a bit more, so if this changes I will mention it. I think I should subscribe to the New Yorker. Salinger, Foer, and Eugenides have had stories featured in The New Yorker. Nah...it's to expensive, maybe when I get a job.

Rantdom Ranting: Charles Dickens

I have been trying to read David Copperfield for over a year already, and I am only a bit more than halfway through. Since then I've read a whole bunch of other books for school and on the side. I've read a Charles Dickens' book before. I know I can do it, I just don't know how long it will take me. I want to finish it NOW! David Copperfield is the most boring/interesting book ever. I mean sometimes it just draaaaaags on and then all of a sudden it gets reeeeeeeeally good. What sucks is that I can't stop, I want to know what happens to David Copperfield!

So I will keep reading. I think I'll use Jane Austen as my motivation. At the end of this road Jane Austen is waiting for me with her not tedious books. Yay!

Goodness Charles Dickens why are your book so long. Oh I know why! You write down every darn detail! I do not need to know every single little aspect of David's life!

Yes ladies and gentlemen this is self inflicted punishment. I don't have to read this book for school. I'm reading it just because. And it doesn't seem like I've learned my lesson because Great Expectations, Nicholas Nickleby, A Tale of Two Cities, and The Christmas Carol are all on my list.

Charles Dickens, I don't know what to say. I guess I'll say this: I love your stories, but it's just that sometimes your love for detail can be a wee bit irritating. Maybe I keep reading because characters are realistic, funny, and overall entertaining.

I find it funny when people say I'm a shut-in, because they all believe it's self-inflicted. It's not, if I had a way out I'd probably never be home. OK maybe I would, but I would go out, I'd probably spend most of my time at the music store and at Disneyland, I can''t wait to start driving.

Now off to better things...I think this might be my favorite song...I dunno I'll have to think about it. I couldn't choose between them, so I decided to post the two. I think I like the first one a bit more.

When I came home today I found U-2. I remember feeling really scared and confused when U-1 came out. I was afraid of clicking on the play button, especially when I saw the creepy sitting down like Gollum. And then the puppet! That puppet is probably one of the scariest things I have ever seen. Not only is the puppet scary, but the song she sings is pretty scary too, it's buatiful, but scary. It's kind of like a lullaby, it makes me want to just close my eyes and forget about everything there is, and just focus on here lovely voice. Jonna Lee has a beautiful voice and this song attests to it.

Now today when I came home I did my daily check up on the iamamiwhoami youtube page, and I thought "oh they changed U-1's picture, it's no longer the scary puppet, it's the creepy guy," and then I noticed the creepy puppet's picture below, and I thought "No way! there's a new video," so I clicked on it, and as I was watching I became more confused and disturbed. The creepy guy was now even creepier for what he does in the video. I mean he shakes his booty like there is no tomorrow. It's kind of funny if you think about it after you're eyes have been molested. Well, it's not that disturbing, it's just weird, but weird is good.I like weird so I guess in the end, I don't mind. Now, I advise you to play U-2, but scroll down or go look at something else, just listen to the lovely song, unless you don't mind watching a guy in his underwear, who has a beard made out of tape, shake his hips.

I love iamamiwhoami, and because I love this project so much, and becuase I'm feeling controversial, I will say this: Lady Gaga and all the other crazy famous Popstars of today have nothing on iamamiwhoami, and while we're at it, they ain't got nothing on Fever Ray/ The Knife. By the way I have not shared my new favorite music video with you, whoever you are. This is it.

P.S. I have nothing against Lady Gaga and all the crazy popstars of today, it's just that scary tree lady covered in tape who runs in the forest liking trees is too cool, and there's other reasons, but it will take too long to explain maybe in another post. Next time.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is SO boring. I'm all for Disney seriously I love all the Disney classics, but not this one. I never liked it not even when I was little, there's just nothing exciting about it. The Dwarfs are quite charming though, but I just can't stand Snow White's voice and her singing! She sings like an old lady. I couldn't care for her dress either, all the Disney princesses are pretty and they all have nice dresses, even Cinderella looks pretty in rags. That movie was just too boring so I ditched her for Life which is on the Discovery Channel. Reptiles and Amphibians. yuck interesting though

So I haven't written in almost a mont, I've been too busy too busy obsessing over the iamamiwhoami viral campaign. And I though deactivating my facebook would reduce the number of hours spent on the internet, but no iamamiwhoami just had to come into my life. I ignored the campaign for the first 3 videos why couldn't I carry on. Oh well, this is too great to go unnoticed. It's worth it it, well as of right now, even if I'm scared that she'll pop up in the middle of the night and eat me.

Ok So a lot of cool things have been happening besides the iamamiwhoami thing.

First I'll start with Yeasayer. Last week Yeasayer released the video for their single O.N.E. Can I just say that this is the most amazing video made in the history of music videos. I love it so much that I've seen it like 20 times. Yes, it's on the same level as the Arctic Monkey's "Cornerstone," Cheryl Cole's "3 words," and Julian Casablancas' "11th Dimension" Okay maybe it's not as cool as great as Mew's "Repeaterbeater," but you get the point.

Speaking of the Arctic Monkeys, the released their video for "My Propeller," can I just say that it is one sexy song. Oh and that when I saw the video I was still surprised Alex hadn't chopped his hair.I was also thinking about Matt's fro and what would happen if he let his hair grow as long as Alex's, I think it would be a giant fro. Oh Dear! What happened to the good good old days? Alexa needs to tell him something if not they're gonna start confusing them as twins. jk I love them, and they can do whatever, as long as they keep making good music.

I'm just remembering a dream I had last night. I was in Norway and we were staying at this girl's apartment who I guess knew my sister or my mom, I'm not sure. It was weird cause it was really pretty and to get to the apartment from the airport we had to go through these really pretty and scary mountains. I loved it. When we got to the apartment the girl wasn't there and when she got there she told us she had just come from Tokyo which was a 20 minute train ride away. When she said this I got excited cause I really wanted to go to Tokyo, and I assumed that the train ride was underwater. It was cool. It's weird though cause Norway and Tokyo are nowhere near. Maybe I was confused with Hong Kong, but still Hong Kong is still to far away from Tokyo. I've been thinking of Hong Kong and Norway lately so who knows. My dream was great though, my mom was there, and so was my sister, and one of my cousins. I want to travel. :(

I know! Instead of asking for prom I'm asking for Coachella. The line up is incredible this year. Rather than spending money on a class ring, prom, prom dress, prom hair, prom everything, and grad night, I could just spend money on a 3-day pass which would probably be the equivalent of all that or maybe even less, I'd have to make calculations. I don't know that's just the way I think. Oh and Mew's going to be there on the Saturday so yeah...Mew...you know what that means. Practically everyone who knows me knows how much I love them and how much I obsess over them. Plus I'm not a social butterfly, everyone should know that too, I'm socially awkward. And No! Concerts and Festivals are not social events, well they might be, but I wouldn't be there for that, I never am, well except this one time these nice people were talking to me at a Mew event, but they spoke to me, there's actually a picture of me on this magazine's website, it's so embarrassing.

So earlier this week I finally took the time to watch Julian Casablancas' music video for 11th Dimension.

One question:

Why hadn't I watched this video the day I saw it posted on stereogum!? Why?

I must have been out of my mind, I mean come on it's Julian Casablancas. He's the coolest guy in the history of cool.

So I saw these guys on popjustice a while ago, but there was no music to go along with their classy pictures, until last week when NME and BBC sound put them on their lists for Artists to look forward to in 2010. Little did I know that they did have a song and that the video is on youtube and it has been for the last 8 months or so. Well here it is, and I must add that this song is quite attractive, yes attractive. It's gorgeous. Although the song is great, the video is kind of funny, well the way the lady just randomly starts dancing is funny, she reminds me of Megan Prescott (aka Katie on skins). Also, these guys remind me of the Pet Shop Boys in the 80s, except the Pet Shop Boys were a bit more magical cause they popped up in different places. Just watch you'll see.

25. Once - I really like this movie, I saw it during the summer vacation. It was one of the best movies I saw during that time, and I saw a lot. I was kind of heartbroken towards the end, but oh well, it worked out in real life, well for a while. (you'll get what I'm talking about if you've seen it)

So I just took at the Grammy Nominees list, and where the hell is Animal Collective!?

Merriweather Post Pavillion is one of the best the year! There's is absolutely nothing like it!

I took look at the Best Electronic/ Dance Album category, and I saw the Pet Shop Boys were nominated. They're up against Lady Gaga. I'm pretty sure they're one of her influences, so that gives the Grammy people more of a reason to choose the Pet Shop Boys, plus Yes is gorgeous. Hopefully they win, last year I was rooting for Hot Chip and someone else won I forget. Gah! Then I took a look at the best alternative album and makes me so mad that Phoenix gets recognized for Wolfgang Amadeus. United and Alphabetical are their best. Funky Squaredance! I still love Phoenix though so I'm proud, and I think maybe one day I'll learn to like Wolfgang Amadeus. Maybe one day I'll hear. Btw MGMT's been around for a couple of years, and Show Your Bones was better.

Oh yeah and where's Florence? What about Mew? (I always ask this.)

Am I the only one that wonders what houses look like on the inside? Sometimes I get sad, because I'll never know. I wish I could stop time or be invisible and be able walk through walls so that I could go inside people's houses and see how they organize their houses. Maybe if ghosts do exist and if I become a ghost then maybe I could do that, who knows.

As I was coming home from target, I saw the freemason place by my house, I knew there was one around here, now I know where it is. I think there's another one, I'll have to pay attention next time I go by Florence to see if there's one there. Ever since I was younger I always wondered what the freemason sign was, until I saw this special on Discovery during summer vacation. I watched two hours they brought up such good questions, but they didn't answer the main question what do freemasons do? At least know I now what Dan Brown was talking about in the DaVinci Code. I remember even looking in the dictionary to see the definition of freemason, and it only confused me more. I was like 11 so I guess I had a right to be confused, I had never heard of the freemasons, I had only seen the sign which I always wondered about. I think the Lost Symbol is about the freemasons, I'm gonna have to read it, even though not all of Dan Brown's books are true, they're well plotted so they're fun, well at least the DaVinci Code is, and from what I saw on this Discovery Special on Angels and Demons (I haven't read that one yet).

As most of us know Muse is cool. Just look at them in their new video for Uprising. They way the play their instruments is cool. The way they look is cool. Their music is cool, especially this song cause it sounds like the Doctor Who theme. To sum this all up they ARE cool. Like always Muse's first single is big. It's epic. For those in the US remember Knights and those in the UK Supermassive Black Hole. I know you do because it was mind blowing.

So this is their new video, and I really like it cause of the Evil Teddy Bears, it's quite funny actually. Have you seen the picture for their single, it's the best. It shows teddy bears rising from the ground, it's cute.

This is supermassive Black Hole, I remember the first time I saw this video I was so scared by it that I couldn't bear to watch the whole thing, but I gave it a second chance and it became my favorite music video, not until Invincible.

Although Invincible is not the best Muse song ever, it's got the greatest video ever! "Why is the best" you ask. Well it's the best because it's a lot like the Disney ride "it's a small world," which happens to be my favourite ride ever. I love, and I simply don't understand why people don't like it. The fifteen minutes you're in that ride are magical. One day I'm gonna go to Disneyland and get on that ride like 10 times. That's how much I love it.

So I was watching this interview a Mexican Frenger did with Jonas Bjerre of Mew, and he asked Jonas what his favorite animal was. I was rooting for Panda, and Jonas did mention the Panda, but he said that his new favorite animal was the Axolotl. There on the video a picture of the animal popped up. I was flabbergasted when I saw it. At first I thought it was disgusting, but it's actually kind of cute. It looks cartoonish, and you'd never expect something like that to exist. It's weird, just see for yourself. They exist in Mexico.

Not bad Cheryl, not bad.

So the debut solo single by Cheryl is a grower. I wasn't able to listen to it completely cause of the stupid wi-fi which kept losing its signal, but what I heard was good. It's weird listening to Cheryl on her own. She's good though. On her own she stands out. She shines. I mean she sounds good with Girls Aloud, but when you're singing with a voice like Nadine's it's just hard to get noticed. you know what I mean... sorry I'm no good at explaining things. Have a listen for yourself it should be on youtube sooner or later.

I wish my brother still lived in LA he so would have gone with me. Mew was awesome tonight. It was really cool. When I got to the door there was this big guy with a suit like they show in the movies, and he asked me what my name was. I told him, and he asked for an id, so I showed it to him, and he crossed my name off THE list. I felt very important, there were no more than 30 people on that list so yeah. I got lucky cos I'm not seeing them tomorrow. Freaking show sold out fast. It's the troubador so who didn't expect it. LA loves Mew.

As we were waiting for Mew to come out I was eavesdropping on the guys behind me and the were talking about pokemon...haha...one of the guys was telling the other how mew evolves into mewtwo. That so brought back memories of the old days. Actually I think I have a Mew stuffed toy from Burger King. Mew and Pikachu were always my favorites. :) The Pokemon first movie was awesome, I still have it, ooh and M2M were on the soundtrack...Marit Larsen is my favorite singer :)

So after waiting for what seemed forever the turned off the lights and they showed us the videos for Introducing Palace Players and the exclusive premier of Repeaterbeater and Beach. Repeaterbeater has got to be the coolest Mew video EVER! It's creepy too, like something from a horror film. There's like these creepy old people and then the guys start going all crazy, and they look possessd and stuff...scary but awesome. Then almost towards the ending of the Beach video(it has some creepy kids in it doing some sort of weird ritual that involves sunglasses, this spinny thing, and the drinking of some red liquid...it's not blood!) Mew came out, everyone thought that the video was over, so evryone started clapping. Bo told us it wasn't "done yet guys." When it finished thethe lights went back on. YAY! It was special cause Mew performs only in the dark. As they were getting ready to perform Symmetry, they started speaking and Danish to each other, and someone asked what that meant, and Bo told jokingly us that it meant that we were handsome and that it was the name of their sound engineer who also happened to be handsome. Funny Bo!

(In his sexy Danish accent) Then I went away and I took more pictures of the gallery, and then I saw this door open, and I saw Bastain at the door...and inside it I saw Jonas! Beautiful Jonas. They're all beautiful. Then Silas came out. Meeting Silas was funny cause he's really quiet, I think he's shy... and I'm quiet and shy too. So when I went up to him we just stared at eachother for a couple of seconds and then I asked him if I could take a picture with him, he said yeah...I'm not sure if he said anything else though cause I could barely hear him. I know for a fact that if Silas and I were stuck on a deserted island we would never say a word, cause that's just how quiet we are. So then I asked this nice lady if I could borrow her Sharpie and I went back to Bo to get my vinyl signed. Then I tried to get Silas, but he got away...Well he didn't really it looked like I stalked him downstairs but I was going down to go outside...I so would have gotten his signature if he wasn't talking to this guy. Oh well, I'll get him to sign it next time.

Today was exciting. I got some limited edition stuff like the No more stories vinyl, and 3 8x10 video stills, which I'm gonna buy frames for. I also got a free bookmark, some free stickers, and a free poster. YAY! Gosh I looooooooooove Mew. They're brilliant.

When I met Silas and Bo I felt like an average teenage girl feels when they think of meeting Robert Pattinson. Yep that's what they're like to me.

I like Batian's Smile, he seemed like he was happy to be there, and he kept smiling at everyone, he put a smile on my face. :)

So today I got No More Stories in the mail. Yay! What a nice surprise! Right now I really like New Terrain, Silas the Magic Car, and Tricks of the Trade. I'm gonna listen to it again though cause I was reading the new issue of Nylon, which I also got in the mail today. I'm so excited, not so much for tomorrow though, well maybe a little because I'm gonna make someone take me to go buy the new Arctic Monkeys' album since I'm special tomorrow. I can do what I want. Well...sort of. Project Runway and Ace of Cakes tomorrow! yay! I'm more excited about Tv than the actual say itself. HA!

I've just remembered! Years ago I was filming in my house and I had a ghostly encounter. Here's the footage.

By the way, the related videos look pretty scary.

I just went out in the dark to get some water, that just shows how unafraid I am.

Well, to be honest, I went half way, and the I turned on the lights.

Then I heard my neighbors talk, and I panicked, because I though it was something else.

It's two in the morning, and everyone's asleep. I have a right to be scared.

Ghost Hunters...And MEW

So today I had something to do. I didn't feel like doing my homework, since I'm almost done (well, sort of...I know I'm more ahead than some people, plus I've got time). Well anyways, I didn't feel like doing homework so I turned on the TV. I checked to see what was on, and they were giving lots of things, but I decided to watch Ghost Hunters. Now, I had never seen this show. I had seen promos of it, and I had been tempted to watch it, but I was scared. It was 4 o'clock in the afternoon, my sister and her dog were in the back, I thought, "why not, I mean it's daylight, I'm be alone, and I've got the birdie to keep me company." So I watched it. Since I didn't know what to expect, I was pretty scared, but only for like the first half hour. One episode turned into two, two turned into four. I watched four episodes of Ghost Hunters, and I really liked it. It's quality entertainment. What really kept me watching was all the beautiful places they go to, and the history, the history of these places is so intriguing. I mean yes these places are creepy, but they're really nice to look at. Plus, like I said before, it's entertaining.

They don't get a whole bunch of scary stuff, they often get the usual footsteps, or a faint sound, but when they get something good, oh it's good.

Some of the good stuff I saw/heard today: a picture frame moving towards a chair that has been witnessed to move on its own as well, a sort of mist moving around, a set of pictures taken continuously in where the second one is completely white, a shadow that was NOT cast by any of the people in the room, two pictures of two figures walking in a kitchen, a ghost faintly saying no when asked if he was scared of the ghost hunters, the ghost of a little girl pulling on a ghost hunter's clothes when asked to right after another ghost hunter asked her too in another room (she also replied to him, by saying something, I forgot what she said though), and my favorite a ghost lady saying it was "Eduardo" although I believe it was "Alvaro"

The creepiest encounter was in Chile, where they were in this room where they used to put children in cages when they were bad. So the ghost hunters were in there right, and they were interrogating a ghost, and they asked it what happens after we die, and when they went back through the recording during the analysis there was a reply, in which the ghost said in a sort of spooky slither "hell." Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeepy.

Yep. So now on to Mew. In this interview with faceculture.com Jonas Bjerre talks about the album cover for No More Stories... Which I have to say that to those who think that any of Mew's album artwork is weird: You are weird sir, yes. Mew's album artwork has got to be one of the best. I mean have you seen the artwork for And the glass handed kites, it's so cool, and the way their faces blend in together it's so neat. Now I must admit that when I saw the artwork for No more stories... I thought it was ugly, but I set it as my desktop background, and I learned to like it. Eventually Like turned to Love, and now when I look at it, I just smile, cause I think it's cute, and it has a sort of childish touch to it, kind of like A Trump for Man's artwork. Plus it's colorful, and if you know me you know that I LIKE COLORFUL THINGS. They're pretty.

Now on to the last part of the Mew interview. In this part Jonas talks about the meaning of the album's title, and I must say that this is weird because when he explains it, he explains just how I felt yesterday when my Ipod died (it turns on, but it gives me the sad face, I've been able to resuscitate it from the sad face, but this time it didn't work, and I tried). It's magical, coincidental, Jonas Bjerre knows how I feel. He says "When the world really gets you down, it could be anything, it could be personal stuff, or just the world in general, that's when you need stories, but sometimes you just feel saturated, you can't even stand turning on the television or opening a book you just feel you need quiet, you need nonexistence, you need to just think of nothing ." That's just how I felt yesterday, so I went to sleep.

Also I was looking through the official Mew Forum, in the Good Looking Mew Pictures thread (Yeah, I know, I'm a loser, but I can't help it that thread is funny), and ffouette posted this picture. It's so adorable look at Silas with his glasses, he looks so young, they all look so young, especially Silad he was about 17/18 when this picture was taken. It's on the artwork for A Triumph for Man which was originally released 12 years ago, so that picture is old.

Oh and this screencap posted by squareone13 is hilarious. Mew were being photographed, and Silas told Bo to get closer for the picture, and Bo said "ah whatever." This is a screencap of the moment after when grumpy old Bo told off Poor Silas. The reaction on Silas' face is so saddening, but overall the picture is funny look at Bo, and Jonas is just there minding his own business.

I don't mean to offend anyone who posts or lurks in the Mew Forums cause I know that they are less of a loser than I am. :)

Today I went outside

So today I took a bus, then the train to Hollywood to see 500 days of summer. Well I left really early and I went to Borders, Amoeba, and then Borders, and finally The Arclight. The movie was great and all, but I don't I think I EVER want to leave the house again!!!! It's way too sunny outside, and there's too many people. I disliked it so much that I wish I were home schooled. Seriously. I love my house. Plus nobody would really care if I got home schooled, except for my dad cause he'd have to pay, but other than that I don't think no one would really care. I remember I used to pester my mom all the time. I would always ask her if I could be home schooled. I'm bad at social situations. My dad thinks I'm weird cause I like being on my own, but I don't care what my dad think, or anyone else for that matter. I think I have Asperger's syndrome. I need help.

I've made up my mind!
